Welcome to Seattle Vegan Dining Month, curated by Darby aka @darbythevegan.

This January marks the inaugural Vegan Dining Month in Seattle, Washington by Vegans, Baby. The month complements Veganuary and highlights the vegan culinary scene in Seattle. During January, participating restaurants are offering special dishes to showcase vegan food.

A portion of all Vegan Dining Month dishes sold this year benefit Seattle Humane Society!

Here are the Vegan Dining Month participating restaurants in Seattle all of January:

Bar Dojo

Edmonds wanted in on the party, too! And how could we say no to a vegan haven like Bar Dojo?

Bar Dojo’s menu will include all of their classic vegan dishes like Miso Avocado Salad, Edamame Dumplings, Hoisin Cauliflower Wings, Spicy Impossible Bulgogi Rice Bowl and Tofu Poke two ways, either crispy wonton taco style or rice bowl. Plus, they’re offering a few secret specials that will be announced soon. Make sure you get the Edamame Dumplings, which will benefit Seattle Humane Society!

Vegan-friendly Chinese restaurant Uptown China gifted us with a fully separate plant based menu last year. And for Vegan Dining Month, they’re adding even more specials to the mix.

The special menu features: Spicy Pickled Mustard Green Tofu, Three Cup Mushroom, House-made Vegan Buns, Dan Dan Noodle, and Zha jiang Noodle. Photos coming soon!

This one is out of left field, but man, oh man, are we here for it! With amazing views of the sound, delicious local beer and NA bevvies, and some serious vegan sustenance, Old Stove is going to be a must-visit this January.

Here are the Vegan Dining Month options that will blow your mind: Miso Pumpkin Soup: Oat milk, yellow onion, garlic, shiro miso, parsley oil, micro cilantro. Fried Oyster Mushroom Sandwich: Crunchy corn-flake batter, slaw, house pickles, vegan aioli. Vegan Meatballs: Broccoli, brown rice, panko, Old Stove tomato sauce. Hummus Plate: Local garbanzos, olives, cherry peppers, house pickles, wood fired pita. Black Bean Burger: House black bean patty, poblano aioli, pickles, lettuce, tomatoes. Carrot Cake: Apples, carrots, brown sugar, Oat milk, winter spices. Choice of Violife cream cheese frosting or orange glaze.

Cinnaholic is a vegan cinnamon roll bakery in Seattle with so much to enjoy. 

Their Vegan Dining Month Special is a Lavender roll or Banana Pudding Roll, with a complimentary drip coffee and cookie dough scoop! Photos of the special rolls coming soon! 

 

Kottu

Food truck is parked every Sunday at the Fremont Market + get tix to their Run The Jewels Pop-Up on January 20th!

Kottu is appropriately nicknamed “Sri Lanken Chaotic Cuisine” and you’ll know why once you see Syd in action.

For Vegan Dining Month, he’s got two amazing things happening. At the Kottu food truck, enjoy a Farmer’s Market Kottu: Roti, vegetables, spices, and a rotating curry is chopped up on the flat top and served with puffed rice. 

On January 20th, Syd’s next iconic 5-course dinner, Run The Jewels Supper, will take place. It’s a 5-course meal with a vegan menu option, along with plenty of entertainment and fun all evening! The menu is created by Syd Suntha (Kottu), Demond Thomas (Arc), and Denali (Art of the Table), who know plant-based deliciousness. Get your tickets before they sell out!

Luna Park Cafe is an iconic, 50s-style diner in West Seattle. What’s lesser known is they have some pretty amazing vegan dishes! For Vegan Dining Month, they’re running a Vegan Reuben Melt composed of a veggie burger patty, “cheddar” cheese & sauerkraut smothered in their house-made 1000 island on grilled rye bread, served with their famous french fries.

Chili The Garlic Tofu Lamen

Dumpling The Noodle is gearing up for Vegan Dining Month with some delicious offerings. They already have a ton of vegan options like Chili The Garlic Lamen Noodles, and for Vegan Dining Month they’ve created a Three Strings Salad, made with carrot, potato, and vermicelli noodles.

Mioposto debuted vegan cheese earlier this year on their menu for their delightful, wood-fired pizzas. And lucky for us, they’ve got all 4 locations on board for Vegan Dining Month! Winter Harvest Pizza, featuring vegan mozzarella, dried cherries, red onion, chopped hazelnuts, and Brussels sprouts on a milled tomato base.

Kathmandu MomoCha is a Nepalese street food and Himalayan dumpling restaurant and food truck that is participating in Vegan Dining Month! Some items on their featured menu are 100% gluten-free as well! You can find the truck schedule on their website, and their brick-and-mortar is located in South Lake Union. For Vegan Dining Month, they’re offering additional vegan dumplings beyond their delightful spinach versions. 
 
Their Vegan Dining Month offerings include: Wo Fried Ball, Pakoras (gf), Wo Lentil Pancake (yellow lentil pancake served with tamarind and sesame tomato chutney, gf), Veggie Noodles (homemade turmeric noodles mixed with veggies, soy ginger sauce and Himalayan spices), and a Wo Chili Ball (lentil ball tossed with garlic bell peppers, onion, and mixed with chili-garlic sauce, gf) Woo!

Pi Vegan "Sweet Italian Tom Tom" pizza for Vegan Dining Month

“America’s oldest vegan pizzeria” Pi Vegan is up to something new for Vegan Dining Month! They’ve created a specialty pie they’ve dubbed The Sweet Italian Tom Tom. It’s a roasted tomato, spinach, and parmesan pizza that starts off with an olive oil base, layered with mozzarella and fresh spinach, topped with seasoned slow-cooked Roma tomatoes, basil and garlic, then finished with a dusting of parmesan.
