Vegan Dining Month Guide: Las Vegas (2024)

Welcome to the seventh annual Vegan Dining Month taking place in Las Vegas the entire month of January. In conjunction with Veganuary, an international non-profit challenging people to go vegan for the month, Vegans, Baby’s annual event celebrates plant-based dining in the Valley.

This is a guide to all restaurants participating in the 2024 Vegan Dining Month. At the end of the month, each restaurant will donate a portion of the proceeds from their specific dishes below to the Nevada SPCA.

Since 1982, Nevada SPCA is the original lifesaving animal shelter in Las Vegas for over 40 years. They are a local, independent, 501(3)c nonprofit that does not have a government contract or any regular funding from national organizations; they rely entirely on donations from our community.  Nevada SPCA intakes an average of 2500 homeless pets each year including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and pet rats; 65% of their intake is from surrenders by pet owners for a variety of reasons including financial hardship, lease restrictions, pet veterinary costs, family changes, owner’s passing and more, and the remainder of their intake is from transfers from other shelters in Nevada as well as orphan kittens from the streets.  Every animal that enters the shelter is vaccinated, microchipped, spayed or neutered and provided the needed medical care to prepare them for adoption. Nevada SPCA also has a Community Support Desk and Pet Pantry that provides food and low-cost veterinary assistance for families in need to keep pets where they belong: with the owners they love.

The 11 best vegan restaurants in Las Vegas

Updated: Oct. 10, 2023

There’s more than 20 vegan restaurants in Las Vegas. From Asian to tacos and literally everything in between, there’s no wonder Las Vegas is one of the top cities in the US for vegan food.

After eating my way through Las Vegas for seven years, I have the immense joy to share the best vegan food near me during that time. These 10 best vegan restaurants in Las Vegas are based on my years of dining out, checking out every vegan restaurant in town and sharing them with you.

You know I’m a sucker for pizza. If there’s a vegan pizza near me to try, I’m there. So, when I heard about Pizza Twist and their marriage of Indian food and pizza (who’d have thunk?!?!), it was one of my first stops. Sure, Indian and pizza don’t sound like they’d go together. And, perhaps your tastebuds may question your life choices for a brief moment. But, one things for sure: Pizza Twist knows what they’re doing and no matter how unsure you are, these pies are surprisingly good. In addition, Pizza Twist has a ton of vegan options to choose from.

Not a fan of Indian? That’s ok. The vegan-friendly Las Vegas restaurant has the pizzas we’ve all grown up with, too.

Pizza Twist Vegan Indian pizza options

You don’t need to be adventurous to love these pizzas, but you do need to enjoy the complex flavors of Indian food.

Try the Vegan Butter Chicken Pizza Twist. It’s made with their signature vegan butter sauce and cheese, plus vegan chicken, red onions, tomatoes, garlic, ginger, and green chilies. The pie comes garnished with fresh cilantro and guarantees flavor in every bite.

They also serve tandoori BBQ pizza, garlic chicken, manchurian and tikka masala pies on the twist side of the aisle.

Other vegan pizzas at Pizza Twist

Of course, if you prefer the more traditional pizzas, you’re all set. They’ve got vegan meat lovers, veggies galore, pepperoni, BBQ chicken and more.

Additional vegan options

The all-vegan kitchen founded by self-taught, award-winning baker baker Stacey Oros came about during the pandemic.

She quit her job in October 2020 to check out van life, and then launched Disco Donuts in March 2021. For nearly a year, Oros word on the recipes before going to market. She debuted at Vegan Wonderland in 2022, selling out more than 100 donuts in three hours.

Seven months after that, she opened in the Lucky 3 ghost kitchen just outside of the Arts District. Today, she’s serving vegan donuts. In addition, the vegan bakery in Las Vegas is also a partner with Gordito Burrito to offer popular breakfast burritos.

First, there’s the Oreo Deluxe Donut. This donut comes glazed and then dipped in Oreo cookie crumbs. After that, it’s topped with chocolate drizzle.

Next, the Cinnamon Toast Crunch donut. Like the Oreo donut, it’s glazed. Then, Oros covers it in Mom’s Best Cereal Cinnamon Crunch.

There’s also the Strawberry Shortcake Donut with glaze and housemade strawberry shortcake topping. A golden Oreo crowns this beauty.

Bellagio Las Vegas Vegan Options: Picasso

Executive Chef Julian Serrano’s Picasso at Bellagio Las Vegas recently added a vegan menu. The upscale vegan-friendly restaurant on The Strip features a menu inspired by the regional cuisine of Spain and France. If you’re looking for Bellagio Las Vegas vegan options, Picasso is your place.

Picasso has received numerous accolades including receiving five stars by AAA and Forbes Travel Guide. It’s an elegant option for those who want vegan food in Las Vegas and want something that’s elegant.

The restaurant reflects its namesake with Pablo Picasso’s paintings and ceramics pieces adorning the walls.

Serrano is no stranger to vegan offerings. His restaurant at Aria, Julian Serrano Tapas, also has a handful of vegan dishes.

But, that’s not all. Other vegan options at Bellagio include Le Cirque, which offers an elegant multi-course tasting menu and Harvest.

In the past few months, Las Vegas resorts have made headlines when it comes to vegan dining. Crossroads Kitchen opened at Resorts World at the end of May 2022. The opening garnered coverage in Wall Street Journal.

In addition, Barry’s Downtown Prime at Circa updated its vegan menu, adding new options and expanding their vegan dessert offerings.

The first course is Le Tomate with Campari and Heirloom tomatoes with toasted cashew cream and basil.

Second, the Les Petits Farcis dish. The hearty French dish comes with summer squash, eggplant and piquillo with romesco. Our favorite of the trio is the stuffed red pepper. It was so savory.

Next, is a savory roasted mushroom and onion truffle tart. The delicate tart is topped with seasonal mushrooms, salsify and truffle pistou.

Vegan friendly restaurants Las Vegas: Harvest at Bellagio

There are an abundance of vegan friendly restaurants in Las Vegas. In fact, our site lists hundreds of restaurants in Las Vegas with vegan options. One we’re particularly excited to feature is Harvest at Bellagio. One of the most vegan-friendly hotels in Las Vegas, Bellagio vegan options are a plenty.

Furthermore, when Harvest re-opened following the pandemic closure, it debuted some new vegan offerings courtesy of executive chef Isaiah Torres.

“I approached the vegan menu in the way we do with all our food and that is to highlight the beautiful ingredients in each dish,” he says. “Along with the cuisine, we strive to provide our vegan guests with a seamless dining experience from beginning to end – one that truly shows the care, attention, and detail our team puts into the restaurant on a nightly basis.”

Vegan options at Harvest restaurant Las Vegas

What we love most about Harvest: the plant-forward dishes that celebrate fruit and veggies and their immense versatility.

Vegan appetizers

There are three vegan appetizers at Harvest.

Vegan options at Harvest restaurant Las Vegas. Learn more about vegan options at Bellagio Las Vegas. For more on vegan friendly restaurants Las Vegas visit www.vegansbaby.com

First, there’s the chopped veggie salad. This delightful, light salad features (you guessed it) chopped seasonal veggies with gem lettuce. It’s capped off with a flavorful mustard vin we loved so much Torres gave us the recipe to recreate it at home. Yes, it’s that good.

Vegan friendly restaurants Las Vegas: Harvest. Bellagio is a vegan friendly hotel in Las Vegas with vegan options. For more vegan friendly restaurants Las Vegas visit www.vegansbaby.com

Next, is the flatbread. This Mediterranean flat bread comes topped with a roasted red pepper hummus, crispy shallots, confit radish and arugula. The dish is also one of our most favorite flatbreads we’ve tried.

Harvest is a restaurant in Las Vegas with vegan options. For more vegan options in Las Vegas visit www.vegansbaby.com

Finally, there is tempura pickled vegetables. Unlike most tempura dishes, this one is vegan. It comes with a yuzu ponzu for dipping the farm fresh selection.

Entrees at Harvest

For entrees at the vegan friendly Las Vegas restaurant, there are three.

First, the bucatini pasta. This spicier pasta is filled with roasted eggplant, Taggiasca olives and Calabrian chili.

Watermelon steak in Las Vegas. For more vegan friendly options in Las Vegas visit www.vegansbaby.com

Then, there’s the dish you’ve probably seen all over the internet but have yet to try. Yes, Harvest has a watermelon steak. The savory melon comes with a stone fruit compote and is drizzled with an aged balsamic.

Best vegan food in Las Vegas. For more on vegan dining in Las vegas visit vegansbaby.com

Of course, we saved the best dish for last. The roasted tandoor veggies is the stand-out on the menu. Rich veggies are complimented by a saffron basmati rice and cooled off with a creamy cucumber raita.

Sides

There are three vegan side dishes at Harvest. They offer a crushed potato with chives in an arbequina olive oil; roasted mushrooms in aged balsamic; and market veggies in a Calamansi citrus oil.

Dessert

When we visited over the summer, Torres brought out an incredible strawberry shortcake. Be sure to ask if there is a vegan dessert when you visit.

Let’s start with the vibe: it’s fun and festive without being obnoxious. Kassi has both indoor and outdoor seating along Virgin’s pool deck complete with day beds you can reserve. They’ve got a rotation of DJs to liven it up but when we went, it was quiet.

Vegan starters at Kassi Beach House

The puccia bread with white bean tip are some of the vegan options at Kassi Beach House in Las Vegas. For more vegan dining in Las Vegas visit www.vegansbaby.com

Do yourself a favor and order the white bean dip. Served with airy puccia bread, this dip is creamy and light and a perfect starter.

Marinated olives are another of the vegan options at Kassi Beach House. For more vegan dining in Las Vegas visit www.vegansbaby.com

Other vegan starters include marinated olives topped with marcona almonds, and crudité.

For some greens, try the verde salad. It’s mixed greens alongside radishes and chives tossed in a white balsamic vinaigrette.

Vegan main courses

Spaghetti is another of the vegan options at Kassi Beach House. For more vegan dining visit www.vegansbaby.com

There are a couple of options for vegan entrees at Kassi. First, there’s the spaghetti they can make vegan by holding the cheese. While we’re grateful for the option, spaghetti isn’t the reason you come to dine here.

The vegan pizza at Kassi Beach House is the best vegan option on the menu. For more vegan dining in Las Vegas visit www.vegansaby.com

You come for the pizza. Seriously. Their vegan pizza is delicious and cheese-free. You won’t even realize you’re missing the cheese on this pie. The veggie pizza comes topped with a roasted eggplant puree, fennel, red onion, green peppers, cherry tomatoes and salsa rosa. It’s one of the best vegan pizzas in town, so please do yourself a favor and order this bad boy.

Alternatively, if you prefer a little less veggie on your pizza you can order the margherita pizza and hold the cheese.

Vegan sides at Kassi Beach House

Seasonal squash is a vegan options at Kassi, a vegan-friendly restaurant in Las Vegas. For more vegan options visit www.vegansbaby.com

When it comes to sides at Kassi Beach House, you’ve got a few to choose from. We loved the sauteed spinach with olive oil, toasted garlic and lemon juice. There’s also grilled broccolini, seasonal squash (pictured) and fries (hold the aioli).

Vegan dessert

Vegan dessert at Kassi Beach House is sorbet. For more vegan options in Las Vegas visit www.vegansbaby.com

If you aren’t filled up by the time you get to dessert, then indulge in their seasonal selection of housemade sorbets. Refreshing, flavorful and the perfect ending to the meal.
