We need a moment of silence to honor the delicious black bean burger Daily Kitchen on Eastern Ave. used to serve. Because the restaurant is gone. Sigh. But, there is still the other Daily Kitchen in Summerlin. While not as vegan-friendly as the eastside one, there are a couple of items vegans can order or tweak so they can dine at the location.
Daily Kitchen Eatery and Rotisserie in Summerlin is a fast-casual spot (read: counter service with a few tables inside and a few outside) that serves fresh eats. It’s a seriously limited selection of main courses, but if you’re vegan you can order the soba noodles (switch out the dressing), the beet salad (hold the cheese) or the crispy veggie salad (pick a different dressing).
They have plenty of sides to nosh, like the crispy brussels sprouts, sweet potato fries, steamed veggies, curry cauliflower and a few more. For breakfast, order the overnight oats — hold the honey. And, all-day you can enjoy their Acai bowl.
It is ideal for vegans? Probably not. But, if you’re in the area and want some veggies or are with someone who isn’t vegan, it’s not a bad spot. Would we love to see a few more vegan options that are entrees? You bet. Hint: bring back the black bean burger! And mung bean salad because that stuff was insane.
