There’s another healthy dining option on Eastern Ave. as this large expanse of road climbs to the top of our vegan hearts, thanks to the many offerings its got. The newest? Hummus Bowls and Wraps.
Opened in September 2017, Hummus offers delicious Mediterranean food in a fast-casual atmosphere (it’s an adorable spot worthy of many Instagram pics) and serves up non-GMO, locally-sourced ingredients.
Specializing in build-your-own bowls (swoon) and wraps, the main feature of the spot is — you guessed it — hummus. Pick your grain, add in some lettuce and then choose from four types of hummus (including two which aren’t made with beans). Add in heaps of veggies (like house-pickled onions), either falafel or market-roasted vegetables for your protein, and then pile on the sauces. The result? A bowl of sheer healthy goodness.
Hummus Bowls and Wraps doesn’t have a freezer on-site, meaning that everything you’re eating is fresh. We love the health factor here, as well as the price tag; meals are around $10 and you leave feeling full.
