Coming June 14, 2021 to Las Vegas is a new vegan concept, Souley Vegan. The vegan ghost kitchen in Las Vegas brings authentic, plant-based Louisiana flavor to the city.
Founded by Tamearra Dyson, the Las Vegas ghost kitchen marks a major expansion for the chef and her restaurant.
She opened its first location in Oakland, Calif. in 2009. Then, Dyson was a single mother one pre-requirement away from nursing school when she left it all to pursue the restaurant, even though she had no background in the restaurant industry.
She opened Souley Vegan with only $26 to her name and restaurant equipment her uncle purchased to get her started.
Dyson’s concept is a national brand with six locations a little more than a decade later. She’s even been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.
“I found myself betting on myself again,” she says. “Since COVID and the challenges it presented, I wanted Souley Vegan to not only live or survive but thrive. I am so excited about this, and the vibe in Vegas is like no other, similar to my Louisiana roots in some ways,” says Dyson. “We look forward to giving you the best of ourselves.”
The best of Souley Vegan includes plans to open a brick-and-mortar in Las Vegas in the near future.
As for the menu, it’s vegan soul food the likes Las Vegas has not yet seen.
Expect dishes like croquettes featuring breaded zucchini and hearts of palm, served with a side of creamy, zesty pray-4-me sauce.
Plus, creole nachos featuring housemade creole cheese, okra gumbo, and roasted zucchini etouffee.
Finally, there are the burgers and sandwiches. They include Po’ Boys, southern fried tofu, Louisiana hot links and more.
